Scottsdale, AZ – A nonprofit with ties to Senator John McCain received a $1 million donation from the government of Saudi Arabia in 2014, according to documents filed with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. Senator John McCain’s conservative primary challenger, small businessman Alex Meluskey, has released a new ad hitting McCain on the ethical implications of the donation.
“Saudi Arabia gave millions to the Clinton Foundation,” the ad reads. “They also gave a million to the John McCain Institute. What commitments did they get in return? Arms deals? Ignoring human rights abuses?”
“I’m running against John McCain in the Republican primary, and with me, you’ll never have to ask such questions,” Mr. Meluskey concludes.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ-U.S. Senate candidate Alex Meluskey won the straw poll held at the Conservative Business League’s Candidate Corral this past Saturday.
The event held at the Pioneer Living History Museum, featured booths, exhibitions and speeches from candidates from around the state.
While Alex Meluskey was not able to attend the event due to a previous scheduling conflict, Joel Andres Frewa spoke on his behalf. While Kelli Ward did address the audience and made her way around to all the booths, John McCain did not have a presence at the event.Read more
