PRESS RELEASE-- Small Businessman Alex Meluskey Files Official Paperwork to Challenge Sen. John McCain for U.S. Senate Seat
Scottsdale, AZ – Small businessman, radio host and FAIR tax champion Alex Meluskey has officially entered the race for U.S. Senate, challenging incumbent U.S. Senator John McCain in the Arizona Republican Party. Mr. Meluskey is taking on the establishment in Washington, D.C. and an entrenched 6-term Senator at a time when America needs new ideas to solve our nation’s challenges. His petition to enter the race received more than twice as many signatures necessary to be placed on the ballot.
“We’re honored by the overwhelming support we have received from the citizens of Arizona. This signature turnout represents the extreme disappointment of thousands of conservatives with the tenure of John McCain,“ said small businessman Alex Meluskey, conservative primary challenger to Senator John McCain. “Arizona deserves elected public servants committed to the principles of our republic. I’ve spent my entire career creating jobs for Arizonans and I will continue to do so as a member of the U.S. Senate.
Meluskey is the only primary challenger who has been unambiguously committed to conservative causes such as the right to life for the unborn and to tea party principles. Recently he received a high profile endorsement from conservative commentator Dick Morris, stating "I think that its time to replace John McCain with a real conservative and, in my view, that is Alex Meluskey.”
Founded in 1993, Mr. Meluskey owns and operates Optimum Graphics USA, LLC, a printing and promotional products company that has thrived despite the federal government. He is also active in his community as Arizona State Director of FAIRtax, a group dedicated to reforming the U.S. Tax Code. He is a Republican precinct committeeman in his district and a syndicated talk radio host.
Alex has been married to his wife, Roberta, for 20 years and they have one son and one daughter.
