PRESS RELEASE––“Tea Party” Candidate Kelli Ward Bailed Out By Obama Stimulus Funds
Scottsdale, AZ – As the race to challenge Senator John McCain in the Arizona primary heats up, one candidate trying to claim the anti-Washington mantle has been found to benefit from the very big government cronyism she claims to detest.
In April of 2009, the White House announced that nearly half a million taxpayer dollars would be sent to North County HealthCare in Arizona to open facilities and hire new workers. Seeing an opportunity, Dr. Kelli Ward of Lakeview Medical Center cashed in and sold her facilities to the beneficiaries of Obama’s handout, calling the steady paycheck, paid vacation and paid CME on the taxpayer’s dime “awesome.”
Ward continued to work at said facility, enjoying the “awesome” deal she struck at the expense of hard-working taxpayers. Now this very person is running for Senate in a primary campaign under the guise of a conservative Republican who will “shake up Washington.”
“Conservatives believe in a competitive marketplace free from the cronyism of big government policies,” said Alexander Meluskey, small businessman and candidate for the United States Senate seat representing Arizona. “Arizona needs a principled conservative to bring change to Washington, and cannot trust a candidate who cashed in the taxpayer-funded subsidies of the Obama administration. Independent small business owners such as myself have been crushed by the heavy hand of big government, while political insiders gain special benefits. Those we entrust with public office should be treating government subsidies as a burden on taxpayers, and stop exploiting them for personal profit.”
Small businessman, radio host and FAIRtax champion Alex Meluskey is running a grassroots campaign to take on sitting U.S. Senator John McCain in the Arizona Republican Primary in the same vein as now-Congressman Dave Brat’s historic 2014 takedown of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. Mr. Meluskey is taking on the establishment in Washington, D.C. and an entrenched 5-term Senator at a time when America needs new ideas to solve our nation’s challenges.
